Bush Rub

(1 customer review)

Bush tucker is making its way into many cafes and restaurants and now you can have the bush tucker experience at home. No matter whether you are a kitchen cook, own a cafe, or are camping, this will surely give any meat a unique flavour burst to take it from ordinary to extraordinary.

As the name suggest Bush Rub includes Australian Native Botanicals, considered bush tucker by our Indigenous people. Flavours will enhance the flavour of food be they cooked on the open fire whilst camping out bush, or at home on the back yard BBQ.

  • If this is your first try using a dry rub we recommend using a meat that you are used to cooking.
  • You don’t have to leave a rub to marinate over night but at least let it sit for an hour before cooking.
  • Use one teaspoon per 250g of food as a first-time guide. Next time you can adjust up and down to your taste.
  • Best used on food at room temp so that the fibres are relaxed.
  • Using a heat that is too high tends to burn the spices and turn them bitter so slow and steady wins the race!
  • A teaspoon or two can also be added to stews, casseroles. curries and hotpots.

Bush Rub is also available in the following combo bags which contain of 3 or more packets of product from across our range. Combo packets offer extra value for money, and the opportunity to try something you may not have thought of.  They also make great gifts for the blokes in your world.

I bought a dozen packets so I wouldn’t miss out. We have a big family and this is their favourite. Don’t stop making it.
