LEMON MYRTLE IS LOW FODMAP AND TUMMY FRIENDLY

Due to its immense health benefits, Lemon Myrtle is said to be able to relieve some disorders such as spasms and muscle cramps, rheumatism, and headaches, especially when used as a tea. Studies have also revealed that it may inhibit the growth of pathogens, organisms that causes diseases such as ulcers. It is high in anti microbial properties and anti oxidants to chase away free radicals that damage our skin and tissues. It’s very very tasty as a hot or cold tea.
SUGGESTED USES
Lemon myrtle leaves are milled for their citrus flavour to impart a distinctively clean and crisp citrus flavour in teas.  Our Milled Lemon Myrtle is perfect for this and makes a great gift for Tea Lovers.
In addition to its use in prepared dishes, lemon myrtle is a good choice to add flavor to spice rubs and marinades for poultry and fish, dips, syrups, glazes, cakes and, biscuits.

In cooking, Lemon Myrtle can be used in both sweet and savoury dishes. The leaves can be substituted for bay leaves, in marinades, soups, stews, casseroles and roasts. The flavour is intense, but used sparingly like a generous pinch, it will complement chicken, lamb, kangaroo and beef dishes delightfully well. It can also be used for gourmet jams, sauces, & juices.

All our flavoured blends are blended in Australia. We use Indigenous bush tucker and local grown first as well as some imported products, that our country may not be able to grow as well as other countries. We choose only the best products to ensure a flavour burst you’ll come to know and trust.

Gluten friendly. Vegan  No added MSG.  No  anti-caking agents, so if salts harden you can easily re-crush by giving it a gentle tap with the back of a spoon

SHELF LIFE

If you ask the Ancients salt and some spices are a natural preservatives and have kept things for 2000 years, but I don’t think Id get that past the food guy.  SALTS, SPICES & RUBS Approximately 3 years. Dukkah is 1 year and will keep for 6 months in the fridge after opening, not that it will stay un eaten for that long!  Our packets will fit into most spice jars if you prefer to reuse what you may already have.
